I <br /> <br /> - ORIGINAL - <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Redwood City Police Activities League <br /> <br /> Police Activities League Youth Center <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into thisc:~--) day of , <br />2003, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Redwood City Police Activities League, a <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor desires to renovate/improve its facility (the "Project), located <br />at the corner of 10th Avenue and Bay, Redwood City, California, which provides services to <br />at risk youth and their families who are residents of the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to complete the <br />Project that will benefit residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, <br />and ending June 30, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and the Project and desires to allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of One Hundred Eighty Two Thousand, Fifty and no/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($182,050) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of One <br />Hundred Eighty Two Thousand, Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($182,050) for exclusive use by <br />Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2003, and ending June 30, 2004, <br />solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to Paragraph <br />1 solely for the Project purposes described in Exhibits A (Budget) and Exhibit B (Contractor <br />Objectives), attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. <br /> <br />9/11/03 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
