� ORIGIIV��➢ <br /> MEMORAIVDUM OF UIVDERSTANDING <br /> BETWEEN <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY/FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER(CITI� <br /> AND <br /> LINKING IMMIGRANTS TO BENEFITS RESOURCES AND EDUCATION (LIBRE) <br /> A COLLABORATIVE PROJECT OF THE LEGAL AID SOCIETY OF SAN MATEO COUNTY, <br /> REDWOOD CITY 2020, NUESTRA CASA, COASTSIDE HOPE,AND THE HUMAN SERVICES <br /> AGENCY <br /> TIER II (ASSISTER ORGANIZATION) <br /> ARTICLE I <br /> GENERAL PURPOSE <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) affirms the commitment of the CITY and <br /> LIBRE to work together to assist San Mateo County residents,with an emphasis on low- <br /> income immigrant individuals and families for the period of July 1, 2012 through June 30, <br /> 2013. <br /> ARTICLE II <br /> OBJECTIVE <br /> The objective of the CITY in this MOU is to contract with LIBRE to increase the CITY's <br /> ability to assist individuals and families in its community to apply for safety net benefits. <br /> The objective of LIBRE in this MOU is to contract with the CITY to assist immigrant <br /> individuals and families to apply for safety net benefits,to provide education and outreach <br /> to promote its services, and to refer individuals and families who need legal assistance to <br /> the appropriate LIBRE partner. <br /> ARTICLE III <br /> ROLE OF ORGANIZATION <br /> City of Redwood City/Fair Oaks Communiry Center affirms that it is a municipal agency that <br /> provides safety net services to individuals and families in Redwood City, North Fair Oaks, <br /> Woodside,Atherton, and Portola Valley. <br /> ROLE OF LIBRE Collaborative <br /> The LIBRE project seeks to increase immigrants' access to critical safety net services by <br /> LIBRE Tier II MOU Phase III 1 <br />
