09/24/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION N0.15220 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND <br /> SALARY PLAN TO ESTABLISH THE CLASSIFICATION OF <br /> ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager has requested that the position of Assistant City <br /> Manager be established; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was determined that the position should be created to provide <br /> leadership and oversight to various City functions and processes according to the needs <br /> of the organization; and <br /> WHEREAS, the classification specification of Assistant City Manager was <br /> prepared by the Human Resources Department and the City Manager to ensure the <br /> foreseeable needs of the organization were met; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was determined that the Assistant City Manager classification <br /> should be an executive management position and established with a pay range of <br /> $14,581 to $17,271 per month; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br /> incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> 2.
