11/05/2012 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15225 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND SALARY PLAN <br /> TO ESTABLISH THE CLASSIFICATION OF GEOGRAPHIC <br /> INFORMATION SYSTEMS (GIS) COORDINATOR <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Director has requested that the <br /> position of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Coordinator be established; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was determined that the position should be created to provide on- <br /> going support for GIS functions and processes according to the needs of the <br /> organization; and <br /> WHEREAS, the classification specification of GIS Coordinator was prepared by <br /> the Human Resources Department and the Community Development Director to ensure <br /> the foreseeable needs of the organization were met; and <br /> WHEREAS, it was determined that the GIS Coordinator classification should be <br /> included in the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) bargaining unit and <br /> established with a pay range of $6,651 to $8,084 per month; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br /> incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br /> 2.
