S � � �f Q <br /> � (7 <br /> FLESOLUTION UETERMINING AND DECLARING THAT CERTAIN <br /> �dORK M�1Y BE MORE ECONOMICALLY AND SATISFACTORILY <br /> PERFORMED BY DAY LABOR OR OPEN MARKET PURCHASE IN <br /> I.IEU OF ADVERTISING FOR NEW BIDS (STREET RECONSTRUCTION <br /> — ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS) <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 7241, adopted August 12 , <br /> T.97�, this �ouncil authorized the call for bids for certain recon- <br /> strucL°ion wc�rk tc� be performed on Alameda de las Pulgas between <br /> VEra Av�nue and Cheshire Way in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WH�REAS, pu�suant to said call for bids, no bids were <br /> r��cei�red for tYae app�rant reasons set forth in a report from the <br /> Director of Public Works pertaining thereto; and <br /> WHFREAS, this Council has reviewed the aforesaid report, <br /> arid it appears that readvertizing for bids for said work would <br /> not be in the public interest; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> �3E IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> �� FOLLOWS: � <br /> 1. It is hereby determined, and this Council hereby declar�s, <br /> that that certain public work mor� specifically described in those <br /> c�rtain plans entitled "Street Reconstruction - Alameda de las <br /> P�lc��5, " those certain standard specifications entitled "City of <br /> ��dw�od City Standard Specifications" (form dated August 1974) , <br /> and those certain special provisions entitled "Special Provisions <br /> for the Street Reconstruction of Alameda de las Pulgas - Vera Aven�ue <br /> to Cheshire Way, in the City of Redwood City, California, " copies <br /> of which documents are on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> r�ay b� more economically or satisfactorily performed by day labor, <br /> a:nd the materials and labor required therefor purchased at a lower <br /> price in the open market in lieu of advertising for new bids for <br /> said work. <br /> ! � � $ <br /> � <br />
