MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> December 10~ 2001 <br /> M.O. 01-196 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: December 11, 2001 <br /> <br />Attention: City Attorney <br /> Planning Dept. <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Approve Contract with Bottomley Associates for <br /> Urban Design/Planning Services <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on December 10, 2001. <br /> <br />Present: Council Member Jordan, Pierce, Hartnett, Howard, Vice Mayor Ira, and Mayor <br />Claire <br /> <br />Absent: Ruskin <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carded and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br />M/S Pierce/Howard to approve contract with Bottomley Associates for Urban <br />Design/Planning Services to assist staff in evaluating Pinn Bros. Construction's request to <br />amend the General Plan and rezone the 3.4-acre Excite @ Home property (a surface <br />parking lot located adjacent to Spinas Park and the new Fire Station on 2nd Street) from <br />Industrial to Residential use; with the addition of clarification upon evaluation from <br />Bottomley Associates as to whether the parking for the existing building is sufficient so <br />that the referenced parking lot does not impact that. Uses other than residential are also to <br />be considered. <br /> <br />The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote by those present. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
