FUNDING AGREEMENT <br /> SAN MATEO COUNTY NEW MEASURE A FUNDS <br /> HUDSON STREET BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br /> This FIJNDING AGREEMENT ("Agreement") is made this�day of h� , <br /> 201�by and between the SAN MATEO COLINTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHO T <br /> ("TA") and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ("SPONSOR"),together referred to herein as the <br /> "Parties." <br /> RECITALS <br /> WHEREAS, on November 2, 2004, the voters of San Mateo County approved the <br /> continuation of the collection and distribution by the TA of the Measure A 1/2 cent transaction <br /> and use tax for an additional 25 years to implement the 2004 Transportation Expenditure Plan, <br /> beginning January 1, 2009 ("New Measure A"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY submitted an application requesting <br /> $532,640 in New Measure A funds for the preliminary engineering, final design and construction <br /> of the Hudson Street Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements ("Project"); and <br /> WHEREAS,Hudson Street Bicycle and Pedestrian Improvements project meets the <br /> intent of the 2004 Transportation Expenditure Plan and the TA's 2009-2013 Strategic Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, on July 7, 2011, the TA's Board of Directors programmed and allocated up <br /> to $532,640 from the New Measure A Pedestrian and Bicycle Program for the preliminary <br /> engineering, final design and construction phases of the Project through Resolution 2011-1 l; and <br /> WHEREAS, the TA and SPONSOR desire to adopt this Agreement to establish the <br /> process, terms and conditions governing the allocation and expenditure of New Measure A funds <br /> on the Proj ect. <br /> Now therefore, the Parties agree as follows: <br /> SECTION 1: Project Oversight and Reporting <br /> 1.1 SPONSOR Oversi�ht; Work Plan. SPONSOR shall be the lead agency responsible <br /> for the completion of the Project. SPONSOR shall assume responsibility for advertising, <br /> bidding, awarding and administering any professional service and/or other contracts <br /> entered into in connection with the Project. SPONSOR shall oversee completion of the <br /> Project as described in Exhibit A, "Project Information," which is attached to this <br /> Agreement and incorporated herein by this reference.
