CGM:dp: 4/25/78 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 8050 MAY 1 1978 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND WESTERN REAL ESTATE DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION RELATING TO LAND LEASED TO CITY BY THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA (STATE LANDS COMMISSION) IN THE VICINITY OF WALNUT STREET, VETERANS BOULEVARD AND REDWOOD CREEK IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS , the City and the State of California (State Lands Commission) propose to enter a public agency permit by which the State shall lease to City a specified parcel of land in the vicinity of Walnut Street, Veterans Boulevard and Redwood Creek in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS , the City, pursuant to the conditions of aforementioned public agency permit, is required to assume various contractual obligations which include construction, repair, restoration and indemnity responsibilities; and WHEREAS , the execution of such public agency permit by the City and State will facilitate a commercial development of Western Real Estate Development Corporation in the vicinity of the area that is subject to such permit; and WHEREAS , City is willing to enter such public agency permit with State subject to the condition that Western assume, and be responsible for, all obligations of City under such public agency permit; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS : That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain agreement entitled "Maintenance Agreement, " by and between the City of Redwood City and Western Real Estate Development Corporation, a copy of which agreement is presently on file in the office of the City Clerk to which reference is hereby made for full particulars concerning the terms and conditions thereof. 8050
