MSR:ef:9/7/73 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> SEP 24, 73 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 7006 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR STATE ADMINISTRATION OF LOCAL SALES <br /> AND USE TAXES <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Part 1.5, Division 2, of the Revenue <br /> and Taxation Code, and the sales and use tax ordinance of the <br /> City of Redwood City, the State Board of Equalization of the <br /> State of California has presented to this Council an agreement <br /> for State collection and administration of local sales and use <br /> taxes in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> WHEREAS, such agreement would replace and supersede that <br /> agreement for State collection and administration of local sales <br /> and use taxes in the City of Redwood City, heretofore entered <br /> into by the State Board of Equalization and the City, and dated <br /> December 6, 1960. <br /> WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed such agreement and desires <br /> to approve the same and authorize execution thereof; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS <br /> FOLLOWS : <br /> That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for State Adminis- <br /> tration of Local Sales and Use Taxes, " copy of which is attached <br /> hereto marked "Exhibit A" and by this reference incorporated <br /> herein, is hereby approved, and Paul C. Keckley, Mayor of the <br /> City of Redwood City, is hereby authorized and directed to execute <br /> the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> * * * <br />
