MSR:of:9/20/73 e ORIGINAL SEP 24 '73 R E S O L U T I O N NO. 7404 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON PUBLIC WALKWAY IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND ORDERING POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION WHEREAS, a certain hereinafter described walkway in the City of Redwood City, heretofore dedicated as a public walkway, is not needed for present or prospective street purposes; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to vacate and abandon said walkway pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate a certain walkway as hereinafter described, and elects to proceed with such vacation and abandonment pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code. 2. That walkway to be vacated is as indicated on the plat on file in the office of the City Clerk, entitled "Abandonment of 6.00 Foot Walk Adjacent to Lots 1 and 18, Block 17, 'Woodside Terrace No. 4, ' Vol. 32, Pgs . 35 & 36", dated 9/17/73, and is more particularly described as follows : Parcel 1 A 6.00 foot wide strip of land lying adjacent to and contiguous with the southwesterly line of Lot 18, Block 17, as said lot and block are shown on that cer- tain map entitled "Woodside Terrace No. 4" , filed in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County, State of California, on December 1, 1950, in Volume 32 of Maps at Pages 35 and 36, retaining as a public utilities easement the northwesterly 5.00 feet of said 6.00 foot wide strip.
