02/10/2014 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1130-360 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AMENDING ARTICLE 2 (DEFINITIONS) AND ADDING ARTICLE <br /> 56 (REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION) TO THE REDWOOD CITY <br /> ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> WHEREAS, on October 11, 2010, the City Council of the City of Redwood City <br /> ("City Council") adopted the new Redwood City General Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the General Plan included goals, policies, and programs relating to <br /> the establishment of a Reasonable Accommodation Ordinance and transition and <br /> supportive housing as well as residential care facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, this proposed "Zoning Ordinance Amendment", which implements <br /> the General Plan, is comprised of: (a) amending Article 2 (Definitions) and (b) adding <br /> Article 56 (Reasonable Accommodation), and <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 1130) was <br /> enacted to protect the health, safety, peace, morals, comfort, convenience, and general <br /> welfare of the people of Redwood City ("Zoning Ordinance"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Zoning Ordinance may be amended by the City Council upon <br /> recommendation by the Planning Commission; and <br /> WHEREAS, on November 12, 2013, the Planning Commission held a duly <br /> noticed public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment, and adopted Resolution <br /> No 13-12 recommending that the City Council adopt this Zoning Ordinance <br /> Amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, a notice of public hearing on the Zoning Ordinance Amendment was <br /> duly published in the Daily News at least 10 days prior to the public hearing; and <br /> WHEREAS, on January 13, 2014, the City Council held a public hearing on the <br /> proposed Comprehensive 2013 Zoning Ordinance Amendment and on said date the <br /> public hearing was opened, held and closed; and <br /> WHEREAS, at the January 27, 2014, public hearing, the City Council considered <br /> the whole of the record, including with respect to the EIR (previously provided under <br /> separate cover) and the Addendum. <br /> ATTY/ORD.399/REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION& RESO.#1130-360 <br /> HOUSING ZONING AMENDMENTS FORMERLY MUFF#602 <br /> REV. 12-20-13 VR <br /> 1 <br />
