ORAL COMMUNICATIONS - TAKEN OUT OF ORDER AT THIS TIME. <br /> A. The following people urged the Council to purchase the Urban Gunshot Locator System <br /> (which has been installed on a trial basis in the southeastern part of Redwood City and the <br /> unincorporated area of the County) based on the following: the system works; since <br /> deployment, random gunfire has dramatically decreased; the system is cost effective; it <br /> provides a sense of safety to the community; and they do not want to go back to the <br /> "scary situation" that existed before the system was put in place.
