Healthy Cities Award from League of California Cities, Redwood City 2000 and Healthy <br /> Start Programs; <br /> Vivian Look, Healthy Cities Association, presented the California Healthy Cities Project <br /> Special Achievement Award to the City of Redwood City, stating these awards recognize <br /> innovative municipal programs that improve community visibility by using the Healthy <br /> Cities approach. They are characterized by a style of governance that promotes <br /> community partnerships and a broad view of health, including safe streets, access to arts <br /> and culture, educational opportunities and a vital economy.
