04/28/2014 " <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15337 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING ANNUAL ACTION PLAN OF THE <br /> CONSOLIDATED PLAN (2014-2015) AND APPLICATION FOR <br /> FEDERAL ASSISTANCE (COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK <br /> GRANT AND HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP FUNDS); <br /> CERTIFYING THAT THE CITY HAS FOLLOWED ITS ADOPTED <br /> CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING THERETO (FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2014-2015) <br /> WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program <br /> authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 <br /> (P.L. 93-383), as amended ("the Act"), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds <br /> develop a Consolidated Plan and provide for the issuance of grants in order to attain the <br /> objective of the development of viable urban communities, by providing decent housing <br /> and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this Council, an <br /> Annual Action Plan to the Consolidated Plan (the "Action Plan") and an application to <br /> the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community <br /> Development Block Grant (the "Application") in the amount of approximately Six <br /> Hundred Ninety Two Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Two Dollars ($692,372) and <br /> HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds in the amount of Two Hundred Forty One <br /> Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Four pollars ($241,324) for the period of July 1, 2014 <br /> through June 30, 2015; and <br /> WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Manager a Notice of <br /> ATTY/RE50.2974/CC ADOPTING 2014-15 ACTION PLAN CDBG RESO.#15337 <br /> REV:04-24-14 VR MUff#304 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
