06/23/2014 ORIGINAL RESOLUTION NO. 15350 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY CONTROLLER TO LEVY THE BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2014-2015 FOR THE SEAPORT BOULEVARD LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR TO COLLECT SUCH ASSESSMENTS WHEREAS, on July 12, 2010, voters of the Seaport Boulevard Landscape Maintenance District (the "District") approved, by a vote of 63% yes to 37% no, the levy of a special tax, the amounts of such tax to be annually adjusted under the 5-year budget as specified in the City Manager's and City Engineer's Reports, heretofore approved by Resolution No. 15024 adopted May 24, 2010 on each non-exempt parcel of land in the district; and WHEREAS, the maximum benefit assessment for fiscal year 2014-2015 is $212,500.00; and WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The above recitals are all true and correct. 2. The City Council of the City of Redwood City hereby respectfully requests and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Controller to include individual tax assessments in the County tax bills for the fiscal year 2014-2015 in accordance with the documents supplied by the District and authorizes the San Mateo County Tax Collector to collect the taxes at the same time and in the same manner as the general County taxes are collected. 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution and enter it into the book of original resolutions. 4.
