10/22/01 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2219 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING DIVISION 4, ACTICLE VII, OF <br /> CHAPTER 20 OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE BY ADDING SECTION 20.133 GROUNDS FOR <br /> SUSPENSION OF MAXIMUM PARKING PERIODS AND METER <br /> RATES <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 20.130 of the City of Redwood City <br />Municipal Code, maximum periods for parking and meter rates within various <br />parking zones have been established; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved by motion the <br />suspension of maximum parking periods and meter rates for the Thanksgiving - <br />New Year's holiday shopping season; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the suspension of maximum parking periods and parking <br />meter rates during said holiday season has been well received by Redwood City <br />merchants and customers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council has directed staff to prepare an amendment <br /> <br />to the Municipal Code to authorize from time to time the suspension of maximum <br /> <br />parking periods and parking meter rates; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE; <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.133.
