6/7/2004 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14588 <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY - <br />OWNED PROPERTY SURPLUS AND AUTHORIZING <br />SALE THEREOF <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns that certain personal property listed <br />on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such property is not needed <br />for present or prospective municipal or public purposes, and should be declared <br />surplus; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised said property and determined that <br />the current reasonable market value of the total of each of the surplus items to be sold <br />as a unit is less than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000); and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to declare said property <br />surplus and authorize its sale in accordance with Section 3 -1/2 of the Charter of the City <br />of Redwood City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby finds, determines and declares that those items listed on <br />Exhibit A are surplus; that they are no longer necessary or required for municipal or <br />public purposes; and that the appraised value of the total of each of the items to be sold <br />as a unit is less than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000). <br />2. This Council hereby authorizes the sale of the City -owned property described <br />in Exhibit A in accordance with Section 3 -1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood City. <br />3.
