� ` ° REG:yc:9�6/60-7 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 980 <br /> ORDINANCE ADDII�TG SECTIONS 154, 155, 196, 19b.1 AND I96.2 <br /> TO ORDINANCE NO. 758 TO ESTABLISH A VEHICLE TOW-AWAY ZONE <br /> FOR EL CAMINO REAL BETWEEN i+�INKLEBLECK STREET AND BREW�TER <br /> AVENUE AND TO ADOPT � PROCEDURE FOR THE REMOVAL OF VEHICLES <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FULIAWS: <br /> SECTION l. Ordinance No. 758, entitled "An Ordinance Regula- <br /> ting Traffie on the Streets of Redwood City," adopted February l, <br /> 1954, as amended, is hereby amended by adding thereto Section l54 <br /> to read as follows: <br /> "Section 154. Tow-AwaY Zones. No person shall park any <br /> vehicle on any street or highway designated in Section 196 <br /> when signs are in place designating the street or highway as <br /> a tow-away zone. When such signs are in place the area ad- <br /> jacent to the curb shall be used exclusively as a traffic lane <br /> for moving traffic during the hours designated on the signs. <br /> "Every sign erected pursuant tv this section shall <br /> indicate the hours during which parking is prohib ited, that <br /> any vehicle in violation will be towed away, and the tel- <br /> ephone number where information concerning vehicles towed <br /> away may be obtained." <br /> SECTION 2. The atorementioned Orc�inance No. 758 is hereby <br /> amended by adding thereto Section 155 to read as follows: <br /> "Section 155. Removal of Vehicles. Any vehicle parked <br /> in violation of �ection 154 may be removed pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Chapter 10 (commencing at Section 22650� of <br /> Division 11 of the Vehicle Code . <br /> "In addition to any notice required by said Chapter 10, <br /> the person causing the removal of any vehicle pursuant to <br /> this section sha11 immediately notify the Police Department <br /> of this C ity of the fact of the removal, the vehicle type, <br /> the vehicle license plate number and the owner's name if it <br /> can be ascertained."' <br /> r _. . � <br />
