REG:yc:2/7/62-7 - � ��:.,,��,� O R D I N A N C E N O. =� F-`''b-" ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR PREPARING COPIES OF, OR EXTRACTS FROM, PUBLIC RECORDS, AND PRO- VIDING A PROCEDURE THEI2EFOR THE COUNCIL OF �2EDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION l. The City Clerk, upon demand of any person, shall prepare copies or extracts from any public record of the City of Redwood City in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 2. In the event the pub lic record is not on file with the City Clerk, the officer having custody of the record shall furnish it to the City Clerk for the purpose of preparing the copy or extract. SECTION 3. Fees for the preparation of copies or extracts are estab lished as follows: (a) The fee for preparing a first copy of a page not in excess of 8-1/2 by 13 inches in size is $0.75 unless made by a photographic process, in which case the fee shall be $0.50. Pages in excess of 8-1/2 by 13 inches in size shall be charged at the rate of $0.50 additional for each additional area 8-1/2 by 13 inches in size or fraction the re of. (b) The fee for preparing an additional copy when made at the same time as the first copy is $0.30 a page not exceeding 8-1/2 by 13 inches in size. Pages in excess of 8-1/2 by 13 inches in size shall be charged at the rate of $0.30 additional for each additional area 8-1/2 by 13 inches in size or fraction thereof. (c) The fee for comparing with the original a copy prepared by another is $0.25 a page not exceeding 8-1/2 by 13 inches in size in addition to the fee for the City Clerk' s certificate. (d) The fee for preparing copies of maps, drawings or other documents which cannot be copied� in the of- fice of the City Clerk shall be $0.25 in addition to the actual cost of preparation.
