Section 6, subsection (b) , of Ordinance No. 535, <br /> entitled '�1l�i Ordinance Regulating the Use and Operation of Taxi- <br /> cabs upon the Public Streets of the City of Redwood City," <br /> adopted February l8, 1946, is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> " (b) The Chief of Folice shall not issne a taxicab <br /> operator's perm3t and must revoke any such per�ait <br /> previously granted: <br /> 1. If the applicant is under 21 years of age; or <br /> 2. If the applicant is not a citizen of the United <br /> sta�es; or <br /> 3. If the applicant does not possess a valid <br /> chauffevr's license issued by the State of <br /> California; or <br /> 4. If the applicant is a reckless dri�er o= has <br /> been convicted of reckless driving or <br /> driving while uxider the influence of in- <br /> toxicating liquors or narcotics within <br /> ten (10) years from the date of application; <br /> or <br /> 5. If the applicant is guilty or has been con- <br /> victed of a felony or crime involving �oral <br /> turpitude; or <br /> 6. If the applicant is not a fit and proper <br /> person to drive a tax3cab; or <br /> 7. If the applicant violates any provision of <br /> this ordinance. <br /> 8. The Chief of Folice shall require a certificate <br /> of a physician that the applicant is in good <br /> physical condition. " <br /> SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) <br /> days after its adoption. <br /> * � ,x <br />
