2/8/2016 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 15474 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY 1 ) AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INCREASE THE <br /> CONTRACT AMOUNT FOR THE RED MORTON PARK SYNTHETIC <br /> TURF AND TENNIS COURT RENOVATION PROJECT, IF <br /> NECESSARY, UP TO 30% OF THE AMOUNT AWARDED, AND 2) <br /> APPROVING AN APPROPRIATION AMENDMENT TO FISCAL YEAR <br /> 2015-2016 PARKS IMPACT FEES FUND TO INCREASE REVENUES <br /> BY $ 1 ,911 ,795 AND TO INCREASE EXPENDITURES BY $1 ,332,510 <br /> WHEREAS, on September 21 , 2015 the City Council awarded the contract for <br /> the Red Morton Synthetic Turf and Tennis Court Renovation Project to O . C . Jones & <br /> Sons, Inc. for their low bid of $4,411 , 700, and authorized the City Manager to increase <br /> the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10% of the amount awarded; and <br /> WHEREAS, during construction , additional unforeseen excavation , subgrade <br /> preparation , and soil off-haul was discovered to be necessary to complete the project, <br /> and project costs are anticipated to exceed the awarded contract amount by up to 30%; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, revenue to the Parks Impact Fees Fund has exceeded the Fiscal <br /> Year 2015-2016 revenue budget by $ 1 , 911 ,795 as of December 30, 2015 ; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to authorize the City Manager to increase <br /> the contract amount, if necessary, up to 30% of the amount awarded to perform <br /> additional unforeseen excavation , subgrade preparation and soil off-haul , and to amend <br /> the revenue and expenditure budgets of the Fiscal Year 2015-2016 Parks Impact Fees <br /> Fund to accommodate completion of the project. <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> ATTY/RES0.0012/CC RESO RED MORTON PARK SYNTHETIC TURF AND TENNIS COURT RENOVATION PROJECT RESO. # 15474 <br /> REV: 01-28-16 VR MUFF # 304 <br />
