•1 <br /> TRAFFIC ORDINANCE 758 <br /> An ordinance of the City of Redwood City regulating traffic upon the <br /> public streets and repealing all ordinances and parts of ordinances in <br /> conflict herewith . <br /> The City Council of the City of Redwood City does ordain as follows : <br /> ARTICLE T <br /> DEFINITIONS <br /> Seca 1 . Definitions of Words and Phrases . '. ( a) The following words and <br /> Swages when used Zn this ordinance shall for the purpose of this ordi- <br /> nance have the meanings respectively ascribed to them in this article * <br /> ( b ) Whenever any words or phrases used in this ordinance are not defined <br /> herein, but are now defined in . the Vehicle Code of this state , such <br /> definitions are incorporated herein and shall be deemed to apply to such <br /> words and phrases ' used herein as though set forth herein in full . <br /> Sec , 2 . Holida . A. holiday is any day designated as such in Sections <br /> 6700 and 6701Thif the Government Code of the State of California; provided, <br /> however , 4that Saturday afternoon shall not be considered a holiday for <br /> the purposes of this ordinance * <br /> Sec ', 3 . adin <br /> exclusive use o <br /> or materials * <br /> Zone . Any device , whether manually , elect - <br /> ri-eaily or mechanically operated , by which traffic is alternately directed <br /> to .atop and proceed and which is erected by authority of a public body <br /> or official having jurisdiction . <br /> Sea . 7 . <br /> or not , <br /> engaged <br /> Park , To stand or leave standing any vehicle , whether occupied <br /> otEerwise . than temporarily for the purpose of and while actually <br /> in loading or unloading of passengers or materials . <br /> Sec . 8 .
