MSR : sh : 1/24 /77 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N N O . 7755 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , FOR CERTAIN ACCIDENT <br /> INVESTIGATION TRAINING SERVICES AND CERTAIN <br /> COMMERCIAL ENFORCEMENT TRAINING SERVICES <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> JAN 31 1977 <br /> WHEREAS , the State of California , acting by and through <br /> the Department of California Highway Patrol , has offered to <br /> provide to officers of the Redwood City Police Department , <br /> Accident Investigation Training Services during the periods <br /> March 14- 18 , 1977 , and April 4 - 8 , 1977 ( one officer each period ) <br /> and Commercial Enforcement Training Services during the period <br /> September 12 - 23 , 1977 ( two officers ) at the California Highway <br /> Patrol Academy , at a total cost to the City of Redwood City not <br /> to exceed Five Hundred Twenty- seven and No/100 Dollars ( $ 527 . 00 ) ; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS , these training services , consisting of daily <br /> training classes for the above noted periods of time , respectively , <br /> constitute a desirable means of increasing the efficiency of <br /> Redwood City Police Officers in the fields of accident investiga- <br /> tion and commercial enforcement ; and <br /> WHEREAS , there has been presented to this Council an <br /> agreement by and between the City of Redwood City and the State <br /> of California , acting by and through the Department of California <br /> Highway Patrol , for the providing of such Accident Investigation <br /> Training Services and Commercial Enforcement Training Services , <br /> and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve <br /> said contract and authorize its execution ; <br /> NOW , THEREFORE ; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 1 .
