REG.ek 1/24/68 R E S O L U T I O N N 0. 51 -Al RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON A PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; SETTING TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND, ORDERING POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION WHEREAS, a portion of Elm Street, lying between the south- westerly line of Heller Street and the northeasterly line of Pennsylvania Avenue, in the City of Redwood City, heretofore dedicated as a public street is not needed for present or prospective street purposes; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to vacate and abandon said portion of Elm Street pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and High- ways Code; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of Elm Street, as hereinafter described, and elects to proceed with such vacation and abandonment pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code. 2. The portion of Elm Street proposed to be vacated is as indicated on that plat on file in the office of the City Clerk entitled "Proposed Abandonment of Elm Street between Heller St. & Pennsylvania Ave." and more particularly described as follows: A portion of Elm Street, lying between the southwesterly line of Heller Street and the northeasterly line of Pennsylvania Avenue, as shown on that certain map entitled "MAP OF THE EASTERN ADDITION REDWOOD CITY", recorded in Volume 2 of Misc. Records at Page 85 and copied into Volume 18 of Maps at Page 6, recorded November 3, 1862 in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County, California.
