<br /> ORIGINAL <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Human Investment Project <br /> Self Sufficiency Program <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this )-J- day of A~ , <br />2004, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Human Investment Project, a California <br />nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides a self sufficiency program that enables low <br />income families with children to transition to self reliance by providing affordable <br />housing; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2004, and ending June 30, 2005; and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Twelve Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($12,000). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Twelve Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($12,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2004, and ending June 30, 2005, solely for the <br />purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br />CDBG/DJT.cje 1 8/23/2004 <br />
