<br />ORIGINAL <br />AGREEMENT <br /> Community Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA) <br />Emergency Shelter for Domestic Violence Survivors <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this'~ay of ~ . <br />, 2004, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and <br />municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") and Community <br />Overcoming Relationship Abuse (CORA), a California nonprofit organization <br />("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"). <br />WIT N E SSE T H: <br />WHEREAS, Contractor provides an emergency shelter, and support <br />services for women and children who are victims of domestic violence; and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to <br />conduct the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), <br />which is incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of <br />City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2004, and ending June 30, 2005; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that <br />providing the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, <br />desires to allocate to Contractor the sum of Seven Thousand Seven Hundred <br />Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($7,750). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br />1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum <br />of Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty and no/100 Dollars ($7,750) for <br />exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2004, and <br />ending June 30, 2005, solely for the purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br />CDBG/DJT.cje , 8/23/2004 <br />
