<br /> DES:d-f,: 4/07/93 (015/11) <br /> o RIG I N A L 4/26/93 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2060 <br /> --------- <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 6.39 AND 6.40 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO TIME <br />LIMITATION UPON CLOSING-OUT SALES <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 6.39 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 6.39. Sales Authorized by Permit; Sale Goods <br />to be Separated From Other Goods. Any permit issued under <br />the provisions of this article shall authorize the one type <br />of sale named in the application, at the place named <br />therein, for a period not to exceed ninety (90) calendar <br />days, and shall permit the sale of goods only which are set <br />out in the application, all of which goods throughout the <br />duration of the sale must be definitely separated from any <br />other goods displayed at, or within, the store or place of <br />business, and all advertising, signs or notices referring <br />to, or calling attention to the sale, must be confined to <br />the display of goods involved in the sale. No permit issued <br />under the provisions of this article shall authorize any <br />sale during the period commencing the first day of November <br />of any year and ending the second day of January of the <br />following year. " <br />SECTION 2. Section 6.40 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to to read as follows: <br /> "Section 6.40. The Manager shall not issue a permit <br />which will allow the conduct of any sale, or sales, of any <br />kind, or kinds, named in this article, at any one location <br />
