<br /> DES~~ik 12/04/92 (009/9) <br /> o RIG I N A L 1/11/93 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2058 <br /> --------- <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 23.2 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE ENUMERATION OF <br />POSITIONS EXCLUDED FROM COMPETITIVE SERVICE OR MERIT <br />SYSTEM <br />THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, DOES ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 23.2 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> "Section 23.2. Scope of Chapter. The provisions of <br />this chapter and the competitive service or merit system <br />established and administered hereunder shall apply to all <br />offices, positions and employments in the service of the <br />City except the following, to which said provisions, service <br />or system shall not apply except and to the extent <br />otherwise, or to the contrary, expressly provided: <br /> ( a) Elective offices or positions. <br /> (b) Positions of appointive boards, commissions and <br /> committees. <br /> (c) The position of: <br /> City Manager <br /> Assistant City Manager <br /> Assistant to the City Manager <br /> Secretary to City Manager <br /> Director of Human Resources - Personnel <br /> City Attorney <br /> Senior Assistant City Attorney <br /> Assistant City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> City Clerk <br /> City Engineer <br /> Fire Chief <br /> Police Chief <br /> Library Director <br /> General Services Director <br /> Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director <br /> Community Development Director <br />_. .. <br />
