<br /> FXS:df~ 10/13/92 (007/11) <br /> o RIG I N A L 12/14/92 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2057 <br /> --------- <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY AND THE BOARD OF ADMINISTRATION OF THE PUBLIC <br /> EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM TO PROVIDE GOVERNMENT CODE <br /> SECTION 20818 (TWO-YEARS' ADDITIONAL SERVICE CREDIT) FOR <br /> LOCAL MISCELLANEOUS MEMBERS <br /> WHEREAS, the Public Employees' Retirement Law permits the <br />participation of public agencies and their employees in the <br />Public Employees' Retirement System by the execution of a <br />contract, and sets forth the procedure by which said public <br />agencies may elect to subject themselves and their employees to <br />amendments to said Law; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to amend its <br />agreement with the Board of Administration of the Public <br />Employees' Retirement System in order to provide two-years' <br />additional service credit for local miscellaneous employees <br />pursuant to Government Code Section 20818; and <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution No. 11872 adopted October 19, , 1992, <br />sets forth the intention of the City of Redwood City to approve <br />said amendment to its agreement with the Board of Administration <br />of the Public Employees' Retirement System; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. That an amendment to the Contract between the <br />City of Redwood City and the Board of Administration of the <br />California Public Employees' Retirement System is hereby <br />authorized, a copy of which amendment is attached hereto, marked <br />Exhibit "A", and by such reference made a part hereof as though <br />herein set forth in full. <br />
