<br /> MJP:d~l, 02/28/89 (013/07) <br /> APR 3 19B9 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1992 ORiGiNAL <br /> --------- <br />ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 17 TO THE CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO INTERFERENCE WITH ACCESS TO OR <br />THE OPERATION OF ANY LAWFUL BUSINESS <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 17.1 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby added to read as follows: <br />"Section 17.1. Prohibited Activities. <br /> (a) Any person who, willfully and maliciously, blocks, <br />obstructs, or otherwise impedes access to or exit from any <br />building, place, or facility at which a lawful business is <br />conducted, for the purpose of interfering with the lawful <br />operation of such business, is guilty of an infraction. <br /> (b) Any person who, willfully and maliciously, blocks, <br />obstructs, or interferes with the movement of persons on any <br />street, sidewalk, driveway, or other area which is open to <br />the public and is adjacent to a lawful business, for the <br />purpose of interfering with the lawful operation of such <br />business, is guilty of an infraction. <br /> (c) Any person who, willfully and maliciously, remains <br />on any portion of the premises of a lawful business which is <br />open to the public, for the purpose of interfering with the <br />lawful operation of such business, after being requested to <br />leave by the person in charge of the premises or by a peace <br />officer, is guilty of an infraction." <br />SECTION 2. Section 17.2 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby added to read as follows: <br /> 1992 <br />-- - -.."......- <br />
