<br /> HRY:ea 12/8/83 ~ <br /> Rev.: 3/2/S/i \. <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1889 <br /> <br /> JAN 9 1984 <br /> ORDINANCE ADDING SECTIONS 12.18.5 AND 12.18.6 TO <br /> THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PROVIDING FOR <br /> HAZARDOUS WASTE AND MATERIALS <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1: Sec~on 12.18.5 is hereby added to the Code of the " <br />City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br />"Section 79.101 of the fire code is hereby amended to read as <br /> ~. <br />follows: <br />Section 79.101. ( a) General. The storage, use, dispensing and <br />mixing of flammable and combustible liquids shall be in accordance with <br />this article, except as otherwise provided in other laws or regulations. <br />This article also applies specifically to all flammable and combustible <br />liquids as defined in Section 79.102, except those that are solid at 100 <br />degrees Fahrenheit or above. When heated, spràyed or mixed, Class II or <br />Class III liquids may assume the characteristics of lower flash point <br />liquids. Under such conditions the appropriate provisions of this <br />Article for the actual flash point shall apply. <br />EXCEPTIONS: 1. The transportation of flammable and combustible <br /> , <br />liquids when in conformity with the Department of Transportation <br />(DOT) regulations on file with and approved by the Department of <br />Transportation. <br />2. Alcoholic beverages in retail sales or storage uses, provided <br />the liquids are packaged in individual containers not exceeding 4 <br />liters. <br /> , <br /> . <br /> 1 889 <br /> .-,., --'~,..,._' <br />
