DES:yc:10/31/80•' <br />ORIGINAL <br />ORDINANCE N0. 1830 to 1980 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 30.136 OF THF CODE OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO WATER METERS <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 30.136 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 30.136 Condominium and Community Apartment <br />Development Standards. Each condominium project and eacr. <br />community apartment project shall contain the following: <br />"(a) Meter and Control Valves. Each unit within a project <br />shall have a separate meter to register the consumption <br />of gas, electricity and water within such unit so that <br />each unit owner may be individually billed for such <br />consumption. Upon application of the developer, <br />the Planning Commission may grant an exception to <br />the foregoing requirement that each unit shall have <br />a separate meter to register the consumption of water <br />if it determines that <br />"(1) the water for such project is to be heated by <br />a solar energy system, <br />"(2) energy savings will result from such solar <br />energy system, and <br />"(3) the project, or the property upon which it is <br />located, is of such shape or size, or is so <br />located, or is so affected by topographical <br />conditions that it is impractical to use <br />separate water meters. <br />"(b) Noise Insulation. Each project shall comply with <br />applicable regulations relating to sound insulation <br />for the buildings and structures therein. <br />"(c) Energy Insulation. Each project shall comply with <br />applicable regulations relating to energy insulation <br />for the buildings and structures therein." <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br />its adoption. <br />1830 <br />
