Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1783, entitled "An <br /> Ordinance Establishing a Salary and Wage Plan for Certain <br /> Designated Employees of the City of Redwood City; and Repealing <br /> Ordinance No. 1696, " adopted May 21, 1979 , is hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> "SECTION 1.
