<br /> CGM.: jp: 2/21/78 <br /> 1 746 ORIGINAL <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1746 <br />--- - - <br /> MAR 6 1978 <br />ORDINANCE ADDING ARTICLE III TO CHAPTER 8 OF THE <br />CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO THE <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF A FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE UTILIZATION <br />OF BICYCLE LOCKERS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has recently completed <br />the Middlefield Road-Winslow Street capital improvement project <br />to improve traffic safety and to increase traffic circulation <br />in that area; and <br />WHEREAS, bicycle lockers were constructed as part of this <br />capital improvement project and it has been proposed to this <br />Council that this City establish a fee schedule for use of such <br />bicycle lockers; <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Article III is hereby added to Chapter 8 of <br />the Code of the City of Redwood City to read as follows: <br /> "ARTICLE III. BICYCLE LOCKERS <br />"Section 8.16. Bicycle Locker Fees. Bicycle lockers <br />shall be rented for periods of six (6 ) months. The fee <br />for such rental shall be Ten and no/lOO Dollars ($10.00) <br />for such period. A person using a bicycle locker for <br />such period shall be required to deposit Five and no/lOO <br />Dollars ($5.00) as security for return of the key. <br />"The Department of Finance is hereby authorized <br />and directed to develop procedures to implement the <br />rental of such bicycle lockers. " <br />SECTION 2. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) <br />days after its adoption. <br /> * * * <br /> 1 746 <br /> ''T'- . <br />
