<br /> CGM:sw:ll/23/77 <br /> 1 735 ORIGINAL <br /> JAN 9 1978 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1735 <br /> --------- <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 20.44 OF CHAPTER 20 OF <br />THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO <br />PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Section 20.44 of Chapter 20 of the Code of the <br />City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Section 20.44 It is hereby determined upon the <br />basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the <br />speed permitted by state law upon the following streets is <br />less than is necessary for safe operation of vehicles thereon <br />by reason of the designation and sign posting of the streets <br />as through highways or by reason of widely spaced inter- , <br /> I <br />sections, and it is hereby declared that the prima facie <br />speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth on those <br />streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are <br />erected giving notice thereof: <br /> Name of Street or Declared Prima <br /> Portion Affected Facie Speed Limit <br />" (1) Alameda de las Pulgas, between 30 MPH <br /> Brewster Avenue and northerly <br /> city limits <br />" (2) Alameda de las Pulgas, between 30 MPH <br /> Woodside Road and Jefferson Avenue <br />" (3) Arguello Street, between Broadway 30 MPH <br /> and "E" Street <br />" (4) Bay Road, between Woodside Road 30 MPH <br /> and Florence Street <br />" (5) Brewster Avenue, between Upland 30 MPH <br /> Road and Main Street <br />" (6) Bridge Parkway, between Marine 35 MPH <br /> World Parkway and peninsula Parkway <br />" (7) Broadway, between Woodside Road and 30 MPH <br /> Douglas Avenue <br />" (8) Broadway, between Woodside Road and 30 MPH <br /> Fifth Avenue <br /> 1 735 <br /> ',-- <br />
