<br /> FXS:rg 116/95 (002/71) <br /> ORIGINAL: <br /> A G R E E MEN T <br /> --------- <br /> SECOND HARVEST FOOD RANK OF SANTA <br /> CLARA AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES <br /> (OPERATION BROWN BAG) <br /> THIS AGREEIvlENT, made and entered into this J O~ dav of <br /> -- ~ <br /> du--- 19~, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> , <br />CITY, a municipal corporation of the State of California, <br />("City ") and SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF SANTA CLARA AND SAN <br />MATEO COUNTIES, a California nonprofit corporation <br />("Contractor") ; <br /> WIT N E SSE T H: <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor, conducts a free food distribution <br />program for elderly residents of the City (the "Program"); and <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested fina.ncial assistance in <br />order t.o purchase refrigeration equipment for the Program to <br />assist residents of City during the fiscal year cOlnmenc ing <br />July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996; and <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Ninety-Nine Thousand Seven <br />Hundred Eighty-Five and No/IOO Dollars ($99,785.00) frOD its <br />Community Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> l. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City shall allocate to <br />Contractor the sum of Ninety-Nine Thousand Seven Hundred <br />Eighty-Five and No/lOa Dollars ($99,785.00) for exclusive use by <br />Contractor during the fiscal year commencing ,July I, 1995, and <br />ending June 30, 1996, solely for the purposes described in <br />paragraph 2. <br />
