P - 1883 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE 2005 SUMMER CONCERT SERIES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Civic Cultural Commission of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />recommends cultural events to the City of Redwood City, and more particularly <br /> <br />to the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Port of Redwood City endorses the goals and principles <br /> <br />of the Civic Cultural Commission; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Civic Cultural Commission has communicated a need for <br /> <br />funding for the 2005 Summer Concert Series and other programs; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The Port of Redwood City will contribute a sum of <br />Fi ve Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($ 5, 000. 00 ) to the Parks, <br />Recreation and Community Services Department to promote <br />the 2005 Summer Concert Series. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />The Port of Redwood City's contribution is subject to the <br />receipt of a letter from the Civic Cultural Commission <br />committing itself to hold at least one (1) concert at the Port of <br />Redwood City during the calendar year 2005. <br /> <br />The appropriate Port location and the date for the <br />concert(s) will be designated by the Port Executive Director in <br />consultation with the Civic Cultural Commission and the Parks, <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Recreation and Community Services Department of the City of <br /> <br />...". ....--....-....-...-..... <br />
