<br />a RIG I N A L <br /> <br />DES/DAL: 2/6/91 <br />2/11/91 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />11479 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DETERMINING <br />THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST REQUIRES THE DISESTABLISHMENT OF THE <br /> <br />DOWNTOWN PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA NO.1, ORIGINALLY <br />ESTABLISHED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PARKING AND BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT <br /> <br />AREA LAW OF 1965 (STREETS & HIGHWAYS CODE § 36000 ET SEQ.). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Downtown Parking and Business Improvement Area <br /> <br />No.1 was established in 1968 by Ordinance No. 1359 in accordance <br /> <br />with The Parking and Business Improvement Area Law of 1965 (Streets <br /> <br />& Highways Code § 36000 et seq.); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to expand the boundaries <br /> <br />of Downtown Parking and Business Improvement Area No.1 pursuant to <br /> <br />superseding legislation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed that Downtown Business Improvement <br /> <br />Area No. <br /> <br />2 be established in accordance with the Parking and <br /> <br />Business Improvement Area Law of 1989 (Streets & Highways Code § <br /> <br />36500 et seq.) <br /> <br />which has superseded the Parking and Business <br /> <br />Improvement Area Law of 1965; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />there will be no need for Downtown Parking and <br /> <br />Business Improvement Area No.1 if Downtown Improvement Area No.2 <br /> <br />is established. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City as follows: <br />
