REDWOOD CITY PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />Re~1ar Meeting - November 25,1941 <br />Themeetlng was called to order by Chairman Bogie. <br /> <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of October 25th. <br />were read and, approved. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS: None. <br /> <br />The agreement between ~edwood City and the.Redwood <br />City Yacht Harbor for the renting Md leasing of the <br />upper floor of the yacht clubhouse for the period of <br />one ye'ar, was read and approved. \ <br /> <br />MSC that the agreement as ~read be recommended to <br />the City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Ross who attënded the 3rd. County-wide Recreation <br />Discussion Gr~ on Nove~er 19th. in S~ Mateo, reports <br />that our program is highly complimentarily to others and <br />that our budget is 'nip and tuck' with Burlingame. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br /> <br />Commissioner Ross inquired as to the responsibility <br />of the Commission in regards to the Boy Scouts meeting <br />in the Central Annex which is a fire hazard. It was <br />pointed out by several that this was not the ~responsibility <br />of the Commission but shows the need for desirable places <br />to meet. <br /> <br />Recreation Director Morton asked the possibility <br />of getting funds to operate Gartieæd School with <br />supervision for recreational facilities for the summer. <br /> <br />. Chairman Bogie suggested that Morton appear before <br />the School Board to present his plans and suggestions. <br /> <br /> <br />MSC that Commissioner Hagan and Director Morton <br />appear b8tOf8 tft8 Board. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Director Morton suggested the need for a coordinat- <br />ing committee in the city to clear functions so that <br />there i'3 not an 'overlapping, such as Bel Canto coneerts <br />and prize fights.
