Present: Catherine <br />Brennan, Louise Tornell, Gerry Verssen, ~lyn Beals, William'Hanley, <br />~~~auri.ce Sch11tz, Ir'ling Gold, Pasco Balzarini and Alfred r~orton. <br /> <br />.1 <br />. "; <br />. <br />( <br /> <br />Minutes of the Uovember 3 meeting approved as mailed with the <br />foll.owing addition: Comnissioner Alyn Beals noted present at the <br />November 3 meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />Commissiorler Gerry Verssen reported that the property, which has <br />been requested by the Widows' Inc., consists of portions of three lots, <br />and title for the property at Chestnut and Main streets is not clear. <br />Mr. Verssen reported that City Attorney Currie suggested that a quiet <br />title su~t be filed. This item will be temporarily dropped fr~ the <br />agenda, until such time as the quiet ti tIe 811i t is completed and a <br />clear title obtained. <br /> <br />Park Superintendent Pasco Balzarini aèvised that no further progress <br />has ueen made by the San Francisco Water Compa,ny to correct the <br />hRZqrd existing at C~ünity P~rk. . <br /> <br />ChaiF~an Irving ~old reported that additional progress is being Made <br />with regard to Union Cementary. Councilman Floyd Granger has acquired <br />a list of heirs, who hold d~eds to plots in the cemetary, and will <br />attempt to contact t~Jem to find out their opinions of e limine ting <br />burials, so that this area can be converted into a park. <br /> <br />Recreation. Director Alfred Morton advised that he had contacted the <br />residents adjacent to Contrnunity Park, who had veen before the <br />Co!r'~iasion requesting ~hat the model airplane flying be moved to some <br />other area in Redwood ~ity. !hese residents still feel as they d1d--' <br />the.t tb.ey di.d. not like the noi se created by the plane s. Nlr. ~'[orton <br />recommended that matters remain as they are. He <br />advised that plans are going ahead between the city attorney and the <br />school for the p~chase of the Droperty facing on Roosevelt Avenue <br />in Hawes Park. <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Lynn P. Hockensmith, 730 Barron Avenue, Redwood City, has with- <br />dram his reQuest to rebuild #33 et Redwood City Yacht Harbor, as he <br />does not plan on mooring his boat in Yacht Harbor at this time. <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />l' <br />C~hgioner Hanley su~itted the following bid fr~ the Cyclone <br />Fence Company for the fencing at Maddux Park, along the spillway and <br />along the creek: <br /> <br />Chain Link, #9 gauge, 2" mesh, galvanized. <br /> <br />~~_..__.... . . ."
