<br />of Fleishman park. As representatives of the Kent Villa park property
<br />OWeners Association, they asked that the area be improved with l,awns,
<br />trees, paths, picnic tables, etc. for a family type park. MSC Knecht
<br />and Schutz that the Park and Recreation Commission recommend to the
<br />City Council and the City Manager that the City appropriate $15,000
<br />for the improvement of Fleishman Park in the 1963-64 budget and that a
<br />favorable plan be submitted to the group in that area.
<br />
<br />It was recommended that a get well card and a note of thanks be sent
<br />to Catherine Brennan for her fine work at the' dedication of Dove
<br />Beeger 'ark.

<br />Regular Meeting, July 10, 19&3
<br />
<br />The meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called order
<br />by Chairman Alyn Beals. The following commissioners were present:
<br />Alyn Beals, James Knecht, Maurice Schutz, Robert Whitmore, Stanely
<br />Sugarman and Catherine Brennan. Noted absent: Louise Tornell. Also
<br />present: Pasco Balzarini and Alfred Morton.
<br />
<br />> The minu es of the June 5, 1963, meeting were approved as mailed.
<br />Mrs. David Morgan, 34 Center St., Redwood City, and Mr. John Rogers,
<br />201 Park St., Redwood City, appeared before the commission regarding
<br />the plan drawn up for Fleishman Park. They approved of the plan and
<br />hoped it would be followed and completed this year. It was recommended
<br />they appear at the next meeting on August 7, 1963, as the decisions
<br />of allocations will be completed as to money budgeted by the City
<br />Council for Park and Recreation use. '

<br />Dick Stewart representing the Babe Ruth League appeared requesting
<br />more bleacher seats at McGarvey Field on July 20,21, and 22, 1963
<br />Pasco Balzarini will take care of this.

<br />Mrs. Jean Travers of the Redwood City Civic Association a?peared as
<br />a spectator.
