Commissioners <br />present: Doris Thompson, Maurice Schutz and Robert Whitmore. Noted absent: <br />Louise Torne11, A1yn Beals and James Knecht. Also noted present: Mr. <br /> <br />, . .. , . <br />Ba1zar~n~, Mr. Morton, Mr. D~m~tratos and Mrs. Travers. <br /> <br />Personal appearance - none. <br /> <br />Mr. Sugarman Turned the meeting over to Mr. Knecht. <br /> <br />'Correspondence - A letter from Mr. Neal to the Commission was read çegard- <br />ing the straightening of the creek at Community Park. It was MSC that Mr. <br />Whitmore talk with Mr. Neal to arrange for a meeting betwwen the Recreation <br />Commission and those planning the completion of this project. <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />I 1 8IIr -... F <br /> <br />Fleishman Park Improvêments - Mr. Balzarini reported that this project has <br />been completed. <br /> <br />Community Center Building & Baird Property - Carried over to next meeting. <br /> <br />Beautification of Community Park - Mr. Balzarini reported that everything' <br />was being held up pending the straightening of toe creek. <br /> <br />'Friendly Acres'- Mr. Morton reported that a questionaire has been completed <br />and mailed to the property owners in this area requesting information to <br />help in the planning for facilities in this area. <br /> <br />Rose Garden - Carried over to next meeting. <br /> <br />Speed Traps at Community Park - Mr. Whitmore reported that a letter had <br />been sent to Mr. Neal requesting his help in trying to provide these <br />safety devices in this area. <br /> <br />Beautification of Stafford Park - It was recommended that Mr. Balzarini <br />and Mr. Morton bring their proposed planes to the next meeting. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />~ 1 l <br /> <br />IT"" II!I <br /> <br />It was MSC that Mr. Whitmore contact the City Manager to see if secretarial <br />help could be obtained for the Park and Recreation Commission meetings. <br /> <br /> <br />, ."..,-,..-------~~ "_"""'~"'.__"~-- -,......._,'.n'"',_,..,"._...,_._~--.,_'--_""'- --- .-,-----........-..-. --"."".""'" -...,...
