No. RR~? <br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BELMONT AND THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY FOR COST ALLOCATION FOR TRANSPORTATION PLANNING AND <br />ENGINEERING SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE RALSTON/ROUTE 101 <br />INTERCHANGE AND ISLAND PARK DIRECT ACCESS PROJECT FINAL DESIGN <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of september <br /> <br />2000, by and between the CITY OF BELMONT, a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> <br />California (BELMONT"), and THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a municipal corporation of <br /> <br />the State of California ("REDWOOD CITY"). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, BELMONT requires the development of final design and the preparation of <br /> <br />Contract Documents for the Ralston/Route 101 Interchange and Island Park Direct Access <br /> <br />Project (the "Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />BELMONT will enter into a consulting agreement (the "Consulting <br /> <br />Agreement") with MARK THOMAS & CO., INe. ("Consultant") for preparation of said design <br /> <br />and documents by way of the agreement attached as Exhibit A; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Project, as depicted in the map attached hereto as Exhibit D, mutually <br /> <br />benefits the Cities of Belmont and Redwood City in certain respects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties desire hereby to allocate costs of the Project between the two <br /> <br />Cities so that REDWOOD CITY pays the design costs for the improvements identified as <br /> <br />"Interchange Improvements" and BELMONT pays the design costs identified as "Island Park <br /> <br />Direct Access Improvements" as shown in Exhibit C. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK/PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN. The Scope of Work for <br /> <br />the Project is attached hereto and incorporated by this reference as Exhibit B. Except as <br /> <br />set forth below, Belmont shall not have the right to amend or modify the tenus and <br /> <br />1 <br />
