<br /> <br />. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br />MINUTES OF APRIL 26, 1995 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Swope, Commissioners <br />Davis, Hughes, Morton, Nordness, and <br />Truscelli <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: Commissioner Slusser <br /> <br />G VESTS PRESENT: Councilwoman Diane Howard, Pete Hughes <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: Director Peter Griffiths, Recreation Supervisor Julie <br />Hannon, Recreation Center Supervisor Jan Knight, <br />Secretary Denise Monroe <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to <br />order by Chairperson Susan Swope at 7:30pm in Room 5 of the Community <br />Activities Building, 1400 Roosevelt Avenue, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The minutes of the March meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />-Each Commissioner received a letter from Mayor Gasparini inviting them to <br />attend a Commissioners Training Workshop on May 13. <br /> <br />-Chairperson Swope thanked Commissioner Truscelli for her report on the <br />CPRS Conference in San Jose t <br /> <br />ITEM 1 - BELMONT SCHOOL DISTRICT UPDATE <br /> <br />Director Griffiths advised the Commissioners that a joint use agreement was <br />signed on March 28 between the Belmont School District and the City of <br />Redwood City for the Sandpiper Park project. On May 3, interviews will be <br />conducted with six firms for the Project Manager position. The Project <br />Manager will represent both agencies and will select the project architect, <br />finalize the RFP, and complete plans and specifications for the project. The <br />firm or individual selected for the position needs to have experience working <br />with public agencies and with the State Architect's Office. <br />
