RJC.ek 4/20/64-7 <br />R E S O L U T I O N N O. <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR RESURFACING OF CERTAIN <br />DESIGNATED STREETS; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; <br />AND, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 4248, adopted March 23, <br />1964, the City Clerk called for bids for the resurfacing of certain <br />designated streets in the City of Redwood City; and, <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br />with the City Manager; and, <br />WHEREAS, DOUGLASS & WOODHOUSE, of Redwood City, California, <br />is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire <br />of this Council to award said bid to Douglass & Woodhouse; and, <br />to reject any and all other bids received; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Douglass & Woodhouse in the total amount of <br />Twenty -Four Thousand Two Hundred Ninety -Five and 85/100 Dollars <br />($24,295.85), more or less, for construction of resurfacing of <br />certain designated streets in the City of Redwood City in accordance <br />with plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer, <br />at the unit prices quoted in its proposal dated April 15, 1964, is <br />hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder. <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City <br />for the construction of resurfacing of certain designated streets <br />in the City of Redwood City, other than the bid mentioned in para- <br />graph 1 hereof, are hereby rejected. <br />3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement" between the City of Redwood <br />City and Douglass & Woodhouse, as Contractor, for the performance <br />of said work in accordance with the abovementioned plans and <br />
