<br />1/9/2006 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14688 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION <br />FOR THE FAIR OAKS COMMUNITY CENTER INFORMATION AND <br />REFERRAL PROGRAM TO THE SAN MATEO COUNTY OFFICE OF <br />HOUSING FOR CDBG FUNDING FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006-2007 IN <br />THE SUM OF FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS AND DESIGNATING <br />TERI CHIN, HUMAN SERVICES MANAGER AS THE CONTACT <br />PERSON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, from its inception, the Fair Oaks Community Center Information and <br />Referral program has been funded, in part, through a contract with the San Mateo <br />County Human Services Office of Housing ("Office of Housing"); and <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Human Services Agency has encouraged <br />the City of Redwood City (the "City") to apply for funding through the Office of Housing <br />for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for services provided to <br />unincorporated North Fair Oaks residents through the Fair Oaks Community Center <br />Information and Referral Program; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has again submitted an application for Fifteen Thousand <br />Dollars ($15,000.00) for San Mateo County CDBG funds for the Fair Oaks Community <br /> <br />Center Information and Referral Program; and <br />WHEREAS, City staff has been informed that said application must be <br /> <br />accompanied by a resolution from the City Council authorizing submission of said <br />application and designating a contact person. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Authorize the submission of the application for Fifteen Thousand Dollars <br />($15,000.00) for San Mateo County CDBG funds for the Fair Oaks Community <br />Center Information and Referral Program. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Designate Ms. Teri Chin, Human Services Manager, as the contact <br />person for the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Atty/Reso/Reso.1586 <br />010306 <br /> <br />14688 <br />Muff # 304 <br />
