CGM:dp:3/21/79 <br />RESOLUTION No. 8261 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION <br />FOR FUNDING PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THE <br />OMNIBUS CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE STREETS ACT OF 1968 <br />ORIGINAL <br />APR 2 1979 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City.desires to undertake a <br />certain project designated the South County Field Evidence <br />Collecting Project to be funded in part from funds made available <br />through the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, <br />PL 90-351, as amended, which funds are administered by the Office <br />of Criminal Justice Planning; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The City Manager is authorized to submit the Application <br />for Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes to the Office of Criminal <br />Justice Planning and is further authorized to execute the Grant <br />Award for Law Enforcement Purposes including any extensions or <br />amendments thereof which are required. <br />2. The City agrees to provide all matching funds required <br />for the above mentioned project (including any extension or <br />amendment thereof) that are required by the provisions of the <br />Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 and the rules <br />and regulations of the Office of Criminal Justice Planning and <br />the Law Enforcement Assistance Administration. <br />3. The City shall not use any of the funds received pursuant <br />to the above mentioned Grant for Law Enforcement Purposes for <br />any other law enforcement purposes. <br />82caI <br />
