08/12/02 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2231 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 20.44, 20.45 AND 20.45.1 OF <br /> CHAPTER 20, ARTICLE IV OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY <br /> OF REDWOOD CITY TO UPDATE THE LEGAL SPEED LIMIT ON <br /> VARIOUS DESIGNATED STREETS <br /> <br /> THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. Section 20.44 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby <br />amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 20.44. It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering <br /> and traffic survey that a speed greater than the speed permitted by State law <br /> would facilitate the orderly movement of vehicular traffic and would be <br /> reasonable and safe upon the following streets, and it is hereby declared that the <br /> prima facie speed limit shall be as hereinafter set forth on those streets or <br /> portions thereof herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof: <br /> <br /> Name of Street Declared Prima <br /> Portions Affected Facie Speed Limit <br /> <br /> A.
