Page 1 of 3 <br />ATTY/RESO.0093/PC RESO 515 VETERANS BLVD <br />REV: 10-10-18 PR <br />RESOLUTION NO. 18-17 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONING <br />AMENDMENT TO ARTICLE 60 (ZONING DISTRICT BOUNDARIES- <br />MAPS) FOR 515 VETERANS BOULEVARD TO AMEND THE ZONING <br />FOR THE PROPERTY FROM INDUSTRIAL PARK TO INDUSTRIAL <br />PARK – VEHICULAR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City staff has proposed amending the zoning for the property located <br />at 515 Veterans Boulevard to add a Vehicular Combining District to the existing Industrial <br />Park zoning designation (the Project); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under Zoning Ordinance Article 49, for the purpose of amendments <br />to the Zoning Ordinance is to increase the quality of its provisions in guiding and <br />regulating future development, growth and evaluation of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Zoning Ordinance Section 49.6, the Planning <br />Commission may recommend a Zoning Ordinance amendment to the City Council with <br />supporting findings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 5, 2018, a public hearing notice was published in the San <br />Mateo Daily Journal and mailed to interested parties and property owners and tenants <br />within 300 feet of the Property; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on October 16, 2018, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Redwood City held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable <br />requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Zoning <br />Ordinance, to consider the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at the public hearing, the Planning Commission considered the staff <br />reports, oral and written, and testimony and materials presented by all those wishing to <br />be heard on the Project. <br /> <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Planning Commission having independently heard, considered, and <br />weighed all evidence in the record including evidence presented by City staff, and <br />members of the public, and being fully informed of the Project, finds that the above recitals <br />are accurate and constitute findings in this matter and, together with the Staff Report and <br />the application materials, including without limitation the development plans, and all other <br />documents, reports, studies, memoranda, maps, oral and written testimony, and materials <br />in the City’s file for the applications and the Project, and all adopted City planning <br />documents relating to the Project and the property including the City’s General Plan, <br />General Plan EIR, the Redwood City Municipal Code, the Redwood City Zoning <br />
