SA- 19-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ADOPTING A CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE OF THE <br />SUCCESSOR AGENCY TO THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT <br />AGENCY AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. SA -16-02 OF THE <br />SUCCESSOR AGENCY'S CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE <br />WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act of 1974, as amended (Cal. Gov. Code <br />§81000, et seq.) ("Act"), requires state and local government agencies to adopt and <br />promulgate a conflict of interest code; and <br />WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practices Commission ("FPPC") has adopted a <br />regulation, which contains the terms of a standard conflict of interest code, that can be <br />incorporated by reference by a local agency as that agency's conflict of interest code (2 <br />Cal. Code of Regulations §18730); and <br />WHEREAS, Section 87306.5 of the Act requires that conflict of interest codes be <br />reviewed and, if appropriate, revised biennially in even -numbered years; and <br />WHEREAS, by Successor Agency Resolution SA 16-02, adopted October 17, <br />2016, the Board of the Redevelopment Agency adopted a Conflict of Interest Code (the <br />"Code") for the City of Redwood City ("City"), by adopting by reference 2 Cal. Code of <br />Regulations Section 18730, as that section may be amended from time to time, and by <br />also approving as exhibits, disclosure categories for certain designated positions within <br />various City departments; and <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency dissolved effective February 1, 2012 <br />per AB x1 26 and a Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency (`Successor <br />Agency") was created in its place; and <br />Page 1 of 7 <br />ATTY/RESO.0007/CC RESO SA CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE RESO.
